Commander Don Boyer, SVC Brad Gould, JVC Laurie Emmers, and Dept Membership Director JD and Department Quartermaster/Adjutant Mike DeRoss travelled the State Friday, Saturday and Sunday meeting with officers, members membership chairman all over State. Steve invited John Davin, National COA Delegate, Dept Illinois Commander Boyer, to view his mobile studio. Post 8741 Libertyville Patroits Pen Chair BJ Voit and 5th District 1st Place winning entry. 2019 VOD Champions Tour Lincoln Monument Riley Baldwin, sixth grade Holy Trinity Catholic School, Fairview Heights, Illinois received First Place in the Department Patriot's Pen Program. Riley is the daughter of Jonathon and Sarah Baldwin-Fredrick . 

Ms Baldwin was sponsored by Caseyville Memorial VFW Post 1117 and its Auxiliary, Caseyville, ILL Voice of Democracy, Patriot's Pen Champions and parents visit the Abraham Lincoln Monument, on Saturday afternoon. The entourage visits President Lincoln's Tomb inside the monument and hears the significance of various architectural features of the tomb and its history. 3rd District Commander was one of the Veterans at the Chicago Bulls, game with Chicago Veteans Batavia Overseas VFW Post 1197 holds an annual recognition dinner for Batavia Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Paramedics and EMT's. Mt. Prospect Mayor Arlene Jurackek and the village board issued a proclamation thanking VFW Post 1337 and Legion Post 525 for their service to our country. Vets attended a recognition ceremony at Mt Prospect VIllage Hall, March 19th. Mt.
